Miley Cyrus opened the new season of Saturday Night Live by performing Frank Sinatra's My Way as a tribute to the American newsmakers who made headlines over the summer (15). They included Kim Davis, the Kentucky clerk who refused to allow gay marriages, New York's pizza-loving rat, "the donut that Ariana Grande licked" and "Lenny Kravitz's junk". The pop star's first performance on the show, for which she wore long, platted hair extensions and a bikini, was introduced by former U.S. First Lady Hillary Clinton.
