Shamed boxer Mike Tyson has been released from an Arizona jail, after serving his 24-hour sentence overnight (20/21Nov07). The 41-year-old former heavyweight champion was serving time in relation to a 2006 incident outside a Scottsdale, Arizona club. He was handed the one-day sentence on Monday (19Nov07) after pleading guilty to one felony count of cocaine possession and one misdemeanour count of driving under the influence (DUI). He must also serve three years' probation. According to a Fox News report, the fallen star spent his time reading the Mark Jacobson book, American Gangster, which inspired the true-life crime drama starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe.
