Scottish musician Midge Ure was presented with his OBE (Order Of The British Empire) by British royal Queen Elizabeth II yesterday (18OCT05).

The 52-year-old ULTRAVOX singer, most famous for helping SIR Bob Geldof organise the Live Aid and Live 8 fundraising concerts, was delighted to be welcomed into the upper echelon of British society at London's Buckingham Palace.

He says, "I've had many awards but nothing so prestigious. The Queen said, 'You've been very busy,' and asked if I was ever going to quiet down."
