Mick Jagger is set to become a great-grandfather.

The Rollingstones front-man will see his great-grandchild born early next year, after his daughter Jade - whom he had with his first wife Bianca - revealed her 21-year-old daughter Assisi is expecting.

Jade claims she does not expect her 70-year-old father - who is set to perform with The Rollingstones for 70,000 fans at the Adelaide Oval in Australia in March next year - to slow down his hectic lifestyle now that he is set to become a great-grandfather but he is taking baby news in his stride.

Speaking to The Sunday Times newspaper, Jade said: ''I think making Mick a grandfather obviously had a big impact whereas, now, making him a great-grandfather is no longer particularly fascinating.''

''My dad has always been great at keeping the family together and having those important moments.''

Mick Jagger has seven children, Jade with Bianca, two daughters Elizabeth, Georgia and two sons James and Gabriel with his second wife, Jerry Hall and another son Lucas, who he had with Luciana Morad.

He also has four grandchildren - two through Jade Jagger and two through his daughter Karis Jagger-Hunt whom he had with Marsha Hunt.

Meanwhile, Assisi has revealed that the 'Start Me Up' singer was pleased when she told him the news, but he hates the prospect of being perceived as ''old'' and refuses to be called granddad.

She explained to Hello! Magazine: ''He said, 'Well done.' I imagine it's nice to be a great-granddad, although I'm not sure he likes the idea of getting old, or being called one. I call him Mick -- I wouldn't start calling him grandpa.''
