British director Michael Winner has rejected offers to appear on reality TV shows, because he does not need the publicity.
The Death Wish film-maker has little interest in spending time in a house being constantly watched - and claims he is not as fame-hungry as the press have reported.
Winner says, "I must get asked every day if I want to go into the jungle or a big house.
"If they want a bunch of idiots to do daft things, they always seem to think of me, but I am not interested."
As for his TV commercials for an insurance company, he adds, "I'm in talks about doing some more.
"My parents would be proud - at last I've a respectable job as an insurance salesman."04/11/2004 13:57
