Dear Mr Winner, I have just watched a film that you directed called " Hannibal Brookes" . May I congratulate you sir on a screen masterpiece. I am 39 years old and when I saw this film I was a child again. It really did bring a tear to my eye, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. You really are a brilliant director. If you wish to reply to this e-mail you have my e-mail address.Thank you

Dear Mr WinnerI admire you for turning down the OBE (when I worked as a civilian for MOD it was known as "Other Bugger's Efforts". I am sure this does not apply to you.Now tell me, were you in Sheringham (North Norfolk) about 3 weeks ago? I am sure it was you enjoying a cup of coffee/tea by the sea with some friends, if it was not you, you have a double. In your article in the Daily Mail 29th May I quote "They're not a bunch that I pine to dine with. I'd sooner be with ordinary people in a pub ......". This made me wonder, because if it was you by the sea side at Sheringham you were looking very relaxed there. It's a super place to be, especially when uptight about something, the soothing sound of the sea on the pebbles is very relaxing. Please satisfy my curiosity. Yours sincerely - Joan Salter
