UGLY BETTY star Michael Urie was offered a role as an extra in Anne Hathaway's new movie after he was spotted by talent scouts in Scotland who didn't recognise the actor.
The 29 year old became well known for his role as Marc St. James in the hit American TV show and played the part for four years.
But movie scouts working on Hathaway's new film One Day, which is currently filming in Scotland, had no idea who Urie was when they cornered him on a street in Glasgow last week (ends01Aug10).
And Urie reveals the clueless film workers offered him a part as an extra,
He says, "It was odd. They offered me a part in the Anne Hathaway film but I declined, obviously."
