Droves of country music's biggest names have been dropped by music giant SONY - following the appointment of a new company president.

Since JOHN GRADY took over as President at SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE last month (MAY03), artists signed to the company's four labels - EPIC, COLUMBIA, MONUMENT and LUCKY DOG - have been dropped.

Those unlucky enough to receive the chop include MARK CHESTNUTT, PAM TILLIS, Michael Peterson, Tammy Cochran, CLINT DANIELS and WYNN VARBLE.

But Grady has chosen to keep the company's big earners including the DIXIE CHICKS, Mary Chapin Carpenter, CHARLIE ROBINSON and COLT PRATHER.
