Michael Jackson's father Joe has thanked fans for their support as he continues "growing stronger by the day" following his recent hospitalisation.
The 87-year-old was admitted to a Los Angeles medical centre earlier this month (May16) after falling ill during a routine visit to his doctor.
Joe Jackson shared an update with fans online on Wednesday (25May16), when he expressed his gratitude for all their warm wishes.
"I would like to thank you all for the get well wishes and prayers," the Jackson family patriarch wrote on his website. "I am doing much better and growing stronger by the day. Doctors have ordered rest.
"Thank you always for having me in your thoughts and prayers."
The latest message comes a week after Joe felt the need to speak out and silence death rumours.
In a post last Thursday (19May16), titled, "I Am 100% Alive," Joe shot down the false speculation by sharing a photo of himself smiling at a beachside resort, and writing, "The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated. Please ignore all the stupid false rumors from people who seem to find humor in such topics."
His health update on Wednesday also featured a snap of Joe on a beach, looking out to the water.
It is not clear if Joe, who suffered a stroke on his 87th birthday last summer (Jul15), has actually been discharged from hospital.
