Michael Jackson is to have his foot print immortalised by his children in Los Angeles, with one of the late star's patented sequined gloves also being used to make an imprint of his hand.
In what promises to be star studded event, with guests including Justin Bieber, Smokey Robinson, the cast of 'Glee' and Chris Tucker, Jackson's three children Prince, Paris and Blanket will use their father's glove and shoes to mark the famous spot outside the Graumen's Chinese Theatre. CNN reports that the matriarch of the famous music family, Katherine Jackson will also be in attendance alongside her sons Tito, Marlon and Jackie Jackson. The event is part of the promotion for Cirque de Soleil's 'Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour' which debuts in Los Angeles tomorrow night, January 27th.
Jackson's prints will be in illustrious company outside the Graumen's; other legends to be immortalized on the Hollywood boulevard include Fred Astaire, Elizabeth Taylor, Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Sidney Poitier, Clark Gable and Mary Pickford. The tradition started in 1928 the year after the theatre's opening. The performer's prints also won't be far from his Hollywood walk of fame star, which is situated on the sidewalk in front of the theatre.
