Michael Jackson will be remembered at a tribute concert titled 'Michael Jackson Forever' at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium on 8th October 2011. Members of the late singer's family announced the news at a press conference in Los Angeles, but not all of the Jacksons have given the event their blessing, reports MTV News.
Michael's mother Katherine confirmed siblings LaToya, Marlon and Jackie will help organise the concert, telling reporters, "This is a world-class event so I decided to join in. When I was told about the possible line-up I knew it would be an event fit for a king. I'd like to thank all the fans who have kept supporting us". Despite the comments, brothers Randy and Jermaine have branded the show "inappropriate" because it clashes with the court case of the singer's former doctor Conrad Murray, who is accused of Michael's manslaughter. In a statement posted on Twitter, the duo claim, ".we find it impossible to support an event that is due to take place during the criminal trial surrounding Michael's death... we feel it is inappropriate to be involved with such an ill-timed event and its promoter, Global Live". The line-up for the concert is expected to be announced early next month, with tickets due to go on sale on Wednesday 3rd August 2011.
Michael Jackson's death stunned the entertainment world in 2009. The singer was found dead at his home in Los Angeles just weeks before he was due to make his comeback at a series of shows in London.
