Michael Jackson's eldest son is wrapping up the year by giving back as he completes his college studies and starts work on his production company.
Good-natured Prince Michael Jackson celebrated his student organisation's Heal L.A. charity initiative with a Christmas celebration at the Boys & Girls Club Los Angeles Harbor earlier this week (ends16Dec16), revealing he likes to think his late dad would be proud of the work he is doing to help people who are struggling.
"I enjoy doing it mostly because I get to help someone else," the 19-year-old told news show Extra.
"He (dad) had actually taken us to a hospital one time (and) there was a long corridor with beds on either side of all these sick children. He came in with sleighs full of toys and he made all the kids happy and smile... That was a good feeling."
Prince Michael recently took time to write a bunch of letters to the people who had impacted his life, thanking them for playing a major role in his development.
"I wanted to show people that it’s important to express gratitude for the people that have supported you," he explained. "For me, it was everyone from people in my family to my Gracie (school) instructors... I want people to know it feels good to show your appreciation and your thanks."
The wannabe film producer is planning ahead for a quiet family Christmas, but reveals all the Jacksons are planning a get-together early in the new year to discuss big plans for 2017.
"We're coming together after the end of the year and seeing what everyone is up to...," he said. "We have a couple of projects with the family that we're working on."
