Michael Jackson's mother Katherine broke down in tears during the premiere of a new Cirque du Soleil show based on her son's legacy.
The Jackson family matriarch was among relatives who attended the unveiling of Michael Jackson One by Cirque du Soleil at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas on Saturday night (29Jun13).
Katherine, who attended along with the King of Pop's two sons Prince and Blanket, admits she was overwhelmed with emotion during the show as images of the singer were beamed up on giant screens.
She tells Access Hollywood, "It was hard - just like it is now to talk about it. I can't find words to describe how I felt - it brought tears to my eyes...
"It was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Very good. Very good show... My son was a workaholic and this show really brought it out. There was so much going on!"
Katherine goes on to insist seeing her son's legacy continued is helping her deal with his loss: "It makes me feel good that he had so many fans, so many people cared about him, so many people loved him. That keeps me going. There's not a day that I don't think about my son... But when I meet people... and they tell me how much they loved him and how they've been a fan of his since they were little and now their children are fans, that helps."
The Thriller hitmaker died in 2009.
