Prosecutors in Michael Jackson's child molestation case shocked a court in Santa Maria, California, yesterday (23AUG04) by playing a tape of a terrified child's voice.

Investigators found the tape during their raid on Jackson's Neverland Ranch home last November (03) and handed it over to District Attorney TOM SNEDDON.

The short audio tape features a child talking on the phone as alarms are going off in the background. The tape cuts off after the child says, "I've got to go, somebody's coming."

Jackson is currently in the midst of a pretrial hearing as Judge RODNEY MELVILLE decides what evidence to allow into the trial proper in January (05).
