Irish-American dancer Michael Flatley is taking his "tap art" to Ireland for the first time and putting his creation up for auction.

The Riverdance star makes one-of-a-kind pieces of art by tap dancing on canvas with paint, and he's hoping to sell his unique work in Ireland next month (04Dec14).

Flatley's piece, called Rossmore Island, reflects the once-vibrant Kerry island community left devastated by famine, and he is hoping to fetch $37,171 (£23,213) via Philip Sheppard's auction house, according to the Irish Independent.

The auction is Flatley's first Irish sale, but he previously sold a piece titled Opening Night, which was purchased by an anonymous international collector for $61,910 (£38,694).
