The Think Like a Man star and his wife Khatira Rafiqzada recently welcomed a little sister for their two-year-old son Elijah.

U.S. comedian and talk show host Steve Harvey shared the news with fans on Wednesday's (09Nov16) episode of The Steve Harvey Show, on which his pal Ealy was a guest.

"What nobody knows is you recently welcomed a second baby, a little girl," Harvey told the audience.

The proud dad smiled and then admitted he was overwhelmed by the rush of love he felt for his newborn moments after meeting her for the first time.

"I just discovered a whole new love, and I've never ever felt this way before," Michael gushed. "I was wondering if I could love another child as much as I love my son, and what I realised, within hours of my daughter being born, is that not only do I love her just as much, if not more, it's a special kind of protective love."

Michael, 43, went on to reveal he now understands why Harvey was such an emotional mess when he recently walked one of his daughters down the aisle at her wedding.

The actor continued, "I'm scared of the day when I'm (going to have to give her away). I'mma (sic) be alright with it, though."

Michael previously used a 2014 appearance on The Steve Harvey Show to announce the birth of his son.

He and Rafiqzada are known for keeping their personal lives private - they exchanged vows in a low-key wedding ceremony in October, 2012 after four years of dating.
