The revered British actor, who has famously played crooks and tough guys in films like Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Get Carter, and The Italian Job, insists his career in Hollywood is often overblown - because many of his first gigs were tiny roles as cops.

"I used to play the policeman at the end of the movie, who takes the crook away," he tells WENN. "I did that for 12 pounds a day, two days on the movie. I did hundreds of those. If you look on the iPad (sic) it looks like I did two million movies but I only did one day on each of them."

Caine is up to his naughty ways again in new movie Going in Style, playing an aged bank robber.
