British actor SIR Michael Caine was hesitant about wearing women's clothes in the 1980 movie Dressed to Kill, because he feared he'd end up enjoying it.

The veteran star admits his fears were only alleviated once he realised how uncomfortable it is to dress as a female.

He says, "I tell you what, I'd never dressed as a woman (before), honestly. I'm putting on these tights and bra, and everything, and I was thinking to myself, 'Suppose I like this.' I got very, very nervous. I've got the tights and some knickers on and I'm going, 'Wait a minute!'

"Fortunately for me, it turned out to be extraordinarily uncomfortable, because if you're a man you've got to wear hips. They give you hip pads and bosoms and everything and it's like living in equipment. It's like you're going skiing, but there's no snow."
