Like Steven Spielberg, the blockbuster director of films like Bad Boys and the Transformers franchise uses digitally encrypted technology which allows him to preview his films in selected cinemas once before it basically self-destructs, according to Rolling Stone magazine.

In a new expose, Bay reveals he has an assistant in Los Angeles, who will fly to wherever Bay chooses to screen a cut of a new movie for himself.

"He does this for Steven (Spielberg) and me," Bay tells the publication.
