Fallen British entertainer Michael Barrymore has been fined more than $1,200 (£750) for possessing cocaine.
The funnyman, who has battled drink and drug demons in the past, was held by cops last month (Nov11) when they found the drug in his pocket after he crashed his car in west London.
Barrymore attended a court hearing on Wednesday (07Dec11) and pleaded guilty to possession of a Class A drug. A charge of being drunk and disorderly was dropped, and he was fined $1,248 (£780).
Barrymore was one of the highest paid TV stars in the U.K. during his heyday in the 1980s and '90s, but his popularity plummeted and never recovered after a man was found dead in a swimming pool at the entertainer's luxury home during a party in 2001.
