Actress Mia Farrow's son Ronan has been confirmed as the host of a new political news and comment show on America's Msnbc network.
Ronan Farrow, who worked as a foreign policy official for President Barack Obama, will front a weekday programme aimed at young voters.
His new show will launch early next year (14).
Shortly after Msnbc officials confirmed speculation that Farrow was to become part of their stable of pundits and presenters, the 25 year old told The Hollywood Reporter, "I think what people crave is more involvement in the story. There has been a democratisation of information. But what they still crave, and what I crave as a Tv viewer, is a guide on how people can have agency in the story.
"This show is all about empowering people to do that. People want a return to real democracy."
Farrow is not new to Msnbc having often made appearances on the channel.
He tells The Hollywood Reporter he also met with executives at CNN with a view to hosting a show on their network.
Farrow recently hit the headlines when his mother suggested Frank Sinatra could be his biological father in a magazine article. He grew up thinking the actress' ex-husband Woody Allen was his dad.
