Hip-hop star Memphis Bleek dedicated his Saturday night (13Mar10) concert to his late protege G BABY, who was gunned down in Queens, New York.
Bleek teamed up with longtime collaborator and close pal Jay-Z to perform in New Jersey, just hours after breaking the sad news about the aspiring rapper's death in a post on his Twitter.com.
He wrote, "I'm in a mood I can't explain. I lost a real n**ga 2day (sic). R.I.P. to my n**ga G Baby who was like a bro to me!!"
But Bleek refused to pull out of the show in Atlantic City on Saturday night, deciding instead to honour the tragic 22 year old, who was signed to his label Get Low Records.
Just before he hit the stage with the Empire State of Mind hitmaker, Bleek 'tweeted', "2nite (sic) goes out for the baby boy G. I got u my n**ga, see u on the other side!"
