Soul Man singer Sam Moore, Richard Thompson, and Taj Mahal were also on the bill for the 14th Music Of benefit tribute concert produced by Michael Dorf at Carnegie Hall.

They all belted out Aretha's hits just days after the 74-year-old singer announced her upcoming retirement.

Highlights of The Music of Aretha Franklin gig included Etheridge's rendition of I Never Loved a Man (The Way That I Love You), Living Colour's Rock Steady cover, and Moore's Don’t Play That Song for Me.

Meanwhile, Taj Mahal teamed up with his daughter Deva for Chain of Fools and Loggins sang Until You Come Back to Me.
