British Tv presenter and model Melanie Sykes has won a legal bid to have a police caution for common assault removed from official records.
Sykes was arrested and cautioned in November (13) for allegedly battering her then-husband Jack Cockings during a dispute at their home.
She accepted a police caution - effectively admitting the offence - but then launched legal action against the Metropolitan Police in London to have the caution withdrawn.
On Wednesday (20Aug14), it was confirmed the paperwork has been removed from official records.
Her lawyer tells MailOnline, "This has been a testing time for Melanie... She believed strongly that it was necessary and appropriate to take legal action - not least for the sake of her children."
Sykes and Cockings split shortly after the incident and she filed for divorce in December (13). She has two sons named Roman and Valentino from a previous marriage.
