Scary Spice Makes Rapping Comeback for Weetabix & Red Nose Day

Mel B and Melanie Brown - Mel B is reprising her role as Scary Spice and making her rapping comeback today as she, in partnership with Weetabix and Red Nose Day, launches the 'Morning Mayhem Rap Battle' to raise awareness of the Weetabix Pick Your Nose fundraising campaign. To promote Weetabix's partnership with Comic Relief the former Spice Girl and x factor judge has taken to the mic to represent mums and dads across the country in the battle of wills faced in every household during the morning routine. The two minute video will bring a smile to parents' faces this morning as Mel battles against two kids about the daily morning struggle of getting the family dressed, fed and out the door in time for school. Morning Mayhem is based on real consumer insights, crowd sourced from mums and dads, about the stressful - but hilarious - things that happen at breakfast time. The lyrics tackle everything from the desire to go to school "dressed as a unicorn" to the refusal to eat breakfast with a spoon. Giving it the real Spice Girls feel, the Morning Mayhem rap was recorded a Strongrooms Studios in Shoreditch - the very same studio where Spice Girls' 1996 iconic hit Wannabe was recorded. Mel B, mother and star of Morning Mayhem said: "As a mum of three, believe me when I say I know exactly what a struggle it can be to get your kids ready and out the door. The morning routine can be a nightmare, but hilarious too, which is why it made so much sense for me to star in this video. Every morning I have to battle with questions on why the outfits I've laid out don't match and even refusal to leave the house until I've heard all about last night's dream's and what today's favourite colour is." "It was great to get back behind the mic, especially being in the same place we recorded Wannabe all those years ago. My co-stars were true professionals and certainly gave me a run for my money - I think it's safe to say they won the Morning Mayhem rap battle."
