Mel B and husband Stephen Belafonte have named their daughter Madison Brown Belafonte.
The former Spice Girl recently announced that she was leaving the decision to her eldest daughter, Phoenix, tweeting "Phoenix my daughter is still deciding our babies names, i don't wanna rush her, it will be soon!" Madison will be the singer's third child as well as her third daughter after Phoenix and Angel Iris. She is already planning on play dates for her new child as well as celebrity visits to see the new addition, including a tweet to fellow pop star Leona Lewis "@leonalewismusic let me no when you wanna come over and see our new baby girl!!!" Mel B has been in the headlines recently following the publicised paternity test over her second child Angel Iris and former partner and comedian Eddie Murphy.
Born in Leeds the 36-year-old singer first entered the entertainment world as a dancer in the UK holiday resort of Blackpool before answering an advertisement in a newspaper to join a new band, which were to become known as The Spice Girls. The group went onto release three studio albums and achieve worldwide fame and success. After the group split Mel B has been performing as a solo artist and has so far released two studio albums. Away from music she has also appeared on a variety of TV shows and is due to judge the third series of the Australian X-Factor which is due to air in September 2011.
