Megan McKenna has confirmed her and Mike Thalassitis' romance is over following a make-or-break holiday to Dubai.
Megan McKenna has confirmed she and Mike Thalassitis have split.
The 26-year-old country singer and the reality TV star attempted to patch up their differences on a make-or-break holiday to Dubai, but she admits the vacation didn't work and she is now ''trying to move on'' with her life.
She said: ''Mike and I haven't been together for a few months.
''I was out in Ibiza at the season's closing parties and I did see him out there. We decided to go to Dubai together, just to see if we could make it work again.
''We went there because it was out of the public eye and it could be the two of us. But it hasn't worked. Sometimes it just can't happen. I'm just trying to move on with my life now.''
Megan has been involved in numerous TV bust-ups over the years and while she doesn't regret rising to fame on reality shows, the 'High Heeled Shoes' hitmaker insists she has ''grown up a lot'' and has learnt to control her anger.
She added to The Sun Online: ''I plastered myself across screens. People have seen me have meltdowns, they've watched me screaming at people and crying because of bad break ups.
''I don't regret anything and those experiences have helped me to get where I am today.
''I've grown up a lot now and I know how to control my anger. I think my fans can see how I've evolved and they've come along with me for the ride.''
Mike recently hinted he and Megan had split, admitting things were ''not working between the pair''.
He said: ''I don't know what the future holds, but I don't hold out much hope.
''There's only so much you can keep trying when it's not working.
''You've got to do what makes you happy.''
This comes after Megan recently said she was keen to marry former 'Love Island' star Mike just three months ago.
Speaking in July, she said: ''If Mike proposed tomorrow, I'd say yes. I'm ready to marry him. I can 100 per cent see myself with him forever.
''I want a family one day and I think Mike and I would make beautiful tanned babies.''
