Megan Fox, the 25-year-old American actress, was fired from the latest 'Transformers' movie after comparing director Michael Bay to Adolf Hitler, reports the UK's Daily Mail. Producer Steven Spielberg was so enraged by the comments, he demanded Fox be fired from the movie.
The actress was hastily replaced by the young British model Rosie Huntingdon-whitley, although the casting change was never explained at the time. However, ahead of the 'Transformers 3' premiere on 4th July 2011, Bay has revealed the real reason for Fox's departure. The director said, "You know the Hitler thing. Steven (Spielberg) said, fire her right now". The actress, who had appeared in the first two 'Transformers' movies, gave an interview to the British magazine 'Wonderland' shortly before production began on the third movie. In answer to one question, Fox said Bay wanted to be like Hitler on his sets. The interview prompted an angry response from crew members, who posted an open letter on Michael Bay's website, saying, "Michael found this shy, inexperienced girl, plucked her out of total obscurity thus giving her the biggest shot of any young actresses' life". The movie's lead star Shia LaBeouf attempted to explain the departure to GQ Magazine, saying, "She started sh*t talking our captain. Which you can't do".
Megan Fox will next star in the comedy movie 'Friends With Kids', with Kristen Wiig and Chris O'Dowd before starting work on 'This Is Forty', with PAUL RUDD.
