Rapper Meek Mill has been reprimanded by a U.S. judge over the lyrics to his song The Ride.
The hip-hop star, real name Robert Williams, appeared in court in his native Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Tuesday (31Jul12) for a mandatory status hearing relating to his probation for a previous drug and gun charge.
The court date is designed to ensure that he remains in compliance with the terms of his probation, but Meek Mill found himself under fire for hitting out at prosecutors on his track The Ride, in which he labelled the city's District Attorney as a "b**ch".
The judge ordered the rapper not to mention the District Attorney in any future songs.
