A U.S. judge has ordered rapper Meek Mill to restrict his travel plans once he completes his current tour after missing a court date on Halloween (31Oct12).

The hip-hop star was back in court in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Monday (19Nov12) to face prior drug and gun charges and he was scolded by the judge for missing a previous hearing.

Mill blamed travel restrictions in the wake of superstorm Sandy for his absence, explaining he was trapped in New York while on a promotional tour for his debut album Dreams and Nightmares.

The judge was far from happy with the excuse after learning Mill's car had been pulled over by Philadelphia police on the night he had been expected in court, and he subsequently placed him on a restricted travel plan.

Specific details about the ruling have not been released, but it will kick in once Mill completes his joint trek with Rick Ross and Wale in December (12).

Mill was not officially arrested during his most recent run-in with cops and was simply detained in a jail cell and quizzed by officers for several hours. He later blamed authorities for questioning him just because he was famous.
