Rapper Meek Mill turned Secret Santa on Christmas Eve (24Dec12) by handing out toys to children at a shelter in his native Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The Ima Boss hitmaker, real name Robert Williams, headed to a local Toys "R" Us store on Monday evening to purchase items like board games, electronics and bikes for those less-fortunate living at Salvation Army's Red Shield Family Residence.
His shopping trip was captured on video by Fox News cameras and the kind-hearted 25 year old insists he was happy to help.
He said, "I been around kids like that all my life that ain't have (sic) nothing for Christmas and I seen that. Tonight I can change that situation... so I make it happen."
Williams then thrilled shelter bosses with his Christmas contribution.
A spokesperson said, "We deeply appreciate it. These families are less fortunate. They come from different kind of home settings, and this is a great blessing."
The star's gesture comes just days after he donated $10,000 (Gbp6,250) to his alma mater upon hearing his high school is facing closure due to low funding.
