LATEST: Legendary rocker Meatloaf has been forced to scrap his entire European tour after he was diagnosed with a cyst on his vocal cords - but vows he will be back. The Bat Out Of Hell hitmaker, 60, cancelled a string of gigs in the U.K. over the past week (begs29Oct07) citing acute laryngitis and has now been ordered by medics to stay away from the stage for four to six weeks, at which time his condition will be reviewed. But the star - real name Marvin Lee Aday - is keen to reassure fans he won't be gone for long. He says, "I was really looking forward to capping off a great year and celebrating the start of the holidays with the fans. "But I have to do what the doctors tell me so I can look forward to healing and coming back strong in 2008. "Let me dispel any rumours before they start - I will be back." Speculation has surrounded the tour since MeatLoaf cut short a gig in Newcastle, England on Wednesday (31Oct07), calling it "the last show I may ever do in my life". His promoters later played down his remarks, saying he was suffering from "exhaustion and stress".
