Teen pop group McFly have ended singer/songwriter James Blunt's five week reign of the UK singles chart, with their fourth number one hit I'LL BE OK.

The English band - comprising of drummer Harry Judd, frontman Tom Fletcher, bassist Dougie Poynter and guitarist DANNY JONES - first burst onto the music scene in March 2004 and last topped the charts in March (05) with All About You.

Former English army officer Blunt's ballad YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL slipped to number two yesterday (21AUG05), but his debut album Back To Bedlam continues to remain number one on the album charts for a sixth week.

Other new singles this week in the top five come from Babyshambles' long-awaited second single F**K FOREVER at four and heavy metal stalwarts Iron Maiden's THE TROOPER at five.
