Girls Who Play Guitars (20th August)
Maximo Park release a new single Girls Who Play Guitars through Warp Records on Monday 20th August 2007. Girls Who Play Guitars is the follow-up to the hit singles Books From Boxes, and the Top Ten smash, Our Velocity. The single will be available on CD single, two x 7" coloured vinyl and download.
Maximo Park's second album, Our Earthly Pleasures, which debuted in the UK Charts at Number Two and has shot past Gold status, was produced by Gil Norton (Pixies / Foo Fighters).
Maximo Park, who received ecstatic reactions to their sets at Glastonbury, Oxegen and T In The Park, have sold out their October headline tour. Tickets for an additional second night at Glasgow Barrowlands went in hours. The band also play the main stage at the Reading and Leeds festivals in August, ahead of hosting an arena show in their hometown of Newcastle before the end of the year. The full dates are:
