Comedy actor Matthew Broderick "likes the idea" of the domestic goddesses in Frank Oz's movie remake The Stepford Wives.

The 42-year-old - husband of SEX AND THE CITY star SARAH JESSICA PARKER - confesses that most men are attracted to obedient wives whose sole desire is to satisfy their husbands, but he believes the novelty would wear off.

Broderick says, "I think if we're honest, there's a creepy side to most men that kind of likes the idea of a Stepford wife. But I think after a weekend you'd start to feel bad about yourself and go find a real person."

The star plays Jewish writer BOBBIE MARKOWITZ in the star-studded movie which also features Nicole Kidman, Bette Midler, Glenn Close and CHRISTOPHER WALKEN.
