Former Guns N' Roses rocker Matt Sorum can add artist to his resume after unveiling a fine art collection on Friday (05Aug11).
The Velvet Revolver drummer used his drumsticks to create the series of canvas pieces, which depict a "study of rhythm light and 100 rhythmic performances".
He tells Blabbermouth.net, "I never considered myself an artist in that form until it was brought to my attention that it could be done. So I think there are similarities to painters. You know the sticks relate to brush strokes...
"Great artists have a different feel from each other, nobody is similar, everyone has a different take on things and it comes through in the movement."
Sorum's collection will become available to galleries across the U.S. and Europe next month (Sep11).
