Movie star Matt Dillon has praised the New York police force for their "personal" approach to the community. Dillon became fascinated by the police when researching his role as OFFICER RYAN in Oscar-winning film CRASH. He tells the New York Daily News, "In New York, I think the relationship between community and police is generally closer. "The cops have to have a little more of a personal touch."
