Matt Damon has revealed that there may be a fourth instalment of the BOURNE series, but says that there is a lot of work to do before he would sign up to it.

Speaking to Empire magazine at the Empire Awards, Matt said that he is not against making a fourth Bourne movie but it would need a really good story.

The franchise's director Paul Greengrass said that he was in the process of deciding what kind of film he could make.

"We love it, but none of us would want to go again unless we're sure there's a worthwhile film and that could take some time," he continued.

THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM, the third film in the franchise, was one of the big winners at last nights Empire Film Awards – winning the accolade for best film.

It triumphed over a number of notable nominees including Harry Potter AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX and RATATOUILLE.

Meanwhile, Matt recently announced that he is to become a father for the third time.

The 37-year-old actor, whose other credits include GOOD WILL HUNTING and OCEAN'S 11, and his wife Luciana announced the news after the ceremony.

His spokesperson told People magazine: "They couldn't be happier. They're so excited!"
