Actor Matt Damon is so determined to see Barack Obama win the U.S. Presidential election, he has vowed to be on hand to support the Democrat in any way he can.
The Bourne Identity star is a staunch Obama supporter - and even launched an attack on opposition John MCCain and running mate Sarah Palin last month (Sep08), insisting it would be "absurd" if they were elected.
Damon is heading to Florida this weekend (25/26Oct08) to work with the Obama campaign on promoting the 4 November (08) vote in a key state.
And despite flying to Morocco to work on a movie straight afterwards, Damon has promised to stay in contact with the campaign in case there is anything else he can do.
He says, "I'm sure I'll be on the phone over there after filming every night. I'll do telephone interviews or whatever they'll have me do. I want to sprint to the finish with the millions of us who really have been desperate for this change.
"The Obama campaign has decided to focus on the positive, and I should be a bigger man and be able to do that with them."
