Mastodon rocker Brent Hinds was reportedly kicked out of the Grammy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles on Sunday (08Feb15) for bad behaviour.

The guitarist attended the prestigious ceremony dressed up as Los Angeles Dodgers baseball star Adrian Gonzalez, but he didn't get to stay until the end of the Staples Center bash, according to his Giraffe Tongue Orchestra side project bandmate Ben Weinman.

Weinman posted an Instagram.com photo of Hinds standing alongside his Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor as they posed for cameramen at the event, and revealed his pal had been asked to leave the venue shortly after a random male rushed the photo opportunity.

In the accompanying caption, Weinman wrote, "Party Crasher in the house right before Brent Hinds gets kicked out of the awards show cause he pored (sic) his bag all over the floor and undies and money and weed spilled everywhere and he wouldn't pick it up. 'Sir you have to leave.' 'Why' 'because you don't know how to behave!'"

Hinds has yet to comment on the incident.

Mastodon were nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance for the song High Road.
