Mastodon bassist/singer Troy Sanders, Queens Of The Stone Age guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, At The Drive-In drummer Tony Hajjar and multi-instrumentalist/video game score composer Mike Zarin have come together to form Gone Is Gone.

The experimental metal band will make its debut with a concert in Los Angeles on 27 April (16), and are planning to release an EP this summer (16). They are also hoping to come out with a full LP later this year (16).

In addition, Gone Is Gone may lend their musical skills to movie and video game soundtracks. Hajjar and Zarin previously worked together on movie trailer scores, and composed the music for video game Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
