Hip-hop veteran Master P is preparing to stage a surprise performance at California's Coachella music festival this weekend (11-13Apr14).

The Make 'Em Say Uhh! hitmaker's son, rapper/actor Romeo, let slip the news to a Tmz.com cameraman on Thursday (10Apr14), revealing they will be joining forces with artists from his dad's No Limit Records label for a previously unannounced appearance.

He said, "We gon' be out there (at Coachella), have a surprise performance... We not suppose to say nothing (sic)... but we may have a little something... It's a No Limit... '90s surprise."

Editors at Complex.com have since confirmed with Master P's representatives that the performance will take place on Sunday (13Apr14).

Headliners for the three-day festival, which takes place over two weekends, include newly-reunited rap duo Outkast, English rockers Muse, and Canadian band Arcade Fire.

Master P and his crew aren't the only last-minute additions to the Coachella line-up - cult rockers the Pixies and The Strokes star Julian Casablancas are set to take to the stage on Saturday (12Apr14).
