The couple's three minor kids, Hercy, Mercy, and Itali, have written letters to the judge overseeing the case, urging him to reduce the support payments their father makes to Sonya Miller every month.

In legal papers obtained by TMZ, Master P claims his kids stay with him full time because their mother's drug addiction makes it impossible for her to care for them properly, and that's why he wants to cut the $26,000 (GBP19,900) he pays out in child and spousal support.

His 17-year-old daughter, Itali, made the most compelling case, telling the judge she was "unable to keep my grades up" while living with her mother, adding, "Unfortunately, my mom was dealing with addiction issues that affected my older sister, who hasn't even had the opportunity to graduate high school."

Itali says she's trying to avoid the same fate.
