Martin Scorsese laid on a special screening of his new movie Hugo for his daughter and 50 friends last week (beg14Nov11) as part of her 12th birthday celebrations.
The legendary director and his wife Helen Morris organised the preview to mark their daughter Francesca turning a year older on 16 November (11), and they invited dozens of her pals to enjoy the 3D fun.
The screening took place at the Bryant Park Hotel in New York, where guests were also treated to cupcakes and other sweet treats, according to the New York Daily News.
The film, which tells the tale of an orphaned boy who lives in a train station, holds a special meaning to the father and daughter - Francesca introduced her director dad to the book on which the film is based.
