The 'Only Way Is Essex' hunk - whose 10-year on-off romance with former fiance Lauren Goodger has been a central feature of the ITV2 programme - will leave the reality show at the end of the current third series to enter the Australian jungle.
Despite a fourth season of 'TOWIE' being scheduled for early 2012, the 24-year-old hunk has received the backing of his co-stars Maria Fowler and Lauren 'Popey' Pope.
Maria exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Mark is leaving 'The Only Way Is Essex' when this series ends. He's going to do 'I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me out of Here!' I'll be supporting him all the way so I hope he wins it."
Speaking at the 'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3' launch at London's Old Billingsgate Market last night (07.11.11), Popey added: "We start filming again in three weeks so I don't feel that sad to have finished shooting this series.
"But Mark isn't going to be there, he's off to the jungle. I think he'll be amazing in there."
However, those hoping for an explosive end to the third series of 'TOWIE' could be in for a treat.
After Lauren Goodger and Sam Faiers - who has been seeing Mark in recent weeks - became embroiled in a huge cat fight on Sunday night's (06.11.11) show, Maria and Popey have insisted the 25-year-old beauty is a "fighter" and won't give up until she's got her own way.
Maria explained: "Lauren's absolutely fine after what happened. She's a fighter."
Popey - who lives with Lauren - added: "She hasn't been affected by the argument."
'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3' is in stores today (08.11.11)
