Scandal-stricken R&B star D'ANGELO is close to making a dramatic chart comeback, masterminded by superproducer Mark Ronson.
Six months after the reclusive singer was arrested for soliciting sex from an undercover cop in New York, he's close to finishing his first studio album in a decade.
Ronson tells Rolling Stone D'Angelo has "been working non-stop" and the disc could be in stores by the end of the year (10).
D'Angelo's time away from the limelight has not been a happy one. He has spent time in rehab battling drug addictions and was arrested in 2002 and charged with assault.
