Jailed rap mogul Marion 'Suge' Knight has been recruited by SYLVESTER STALLONE to play himself in a movie about the unsolved murders of Tupac Shakur and the NOTORIOUS B.I.G.

In a move to add more authenticity to the film, the controversial DEATH ROW RECORDS founder has signed up to appear in RAMPART SCANDAL, which Stallone is writing, directing and starring in.

The ROCKY star explains, "I thought if you're ever going to do (a movie about) scandal, you would really have to get some of the real players in there to give it some validity."

Knight was implicated in the '90s murders of both rappers, but has always maintained his innocence.

Stallone adds, "The movie will give Knight the opportunity to answer questions the audience would probably want to know - that no one ever asked, if you know what I mean."

Stallone will portray LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT officer Russell Poole, the murders' harassed investigator.

He says, "He pursues this at the cost of his own career. So a lot of people think, was he a little over the top?"

Knight is currently in jail awaiting charges on an alleged probation-violating fight outside a Hollywood nightclub.
