Rap mogul Marion 'Suge' Knight is calling for a permanent truce in the rap wars that upset proceedings at the Vibe Awards on Monday night (15NOV04) because it's getting out of hand.

THA ROW RECORDS boss, who has long been at odds with former pals Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg in one of many famous rap 'beefs', insists enough is enough and the Vibe Awards fracas should encourage all warring rappers to put their differences aside and work together.

Knight, who was initially connected to the award show incident, where Dr Dre was attacked and punched in the face, says, "You don't do it at awards shows, you don't do it at parties, you don't do it at weddings, you don't do it at church.

"I think the artists should get along with each other. I think it's time now everybody should put the past in the past and shake hands and move forward."
