Marilyn Manson's former bandmate STEPHEN BIER will get nothing in the settlement from their recent court battle - all the money will reportedly go towards paying his legal fees.
The rocker reached a settlement with Bier - also known by stage names Madonna Wayne Gacy and Pogo - on 11 December (09) following two years of litigation.
The $20 million (£14 million) suit, which Bier filed in 2007, accused Manson of breach of contract, alleging the star used money from their former band partnership to buy personal goods, including gifts for his ex-wife Dita Von Teese.
Court records kept details of the settlement private, but Manson's lawyer has claimed Bier won't receive a cent following the long legal battle because all the money is being handed straight to Bier's attorneys to cover costs.
Manson's lawyer, Howard E. King, says, "After being dismissed from the band, Bier could have focused on resurrecting or attempting to pursue a music career. Instead, he devoted the last several years to complaining about Manson's alleged spending habits and extravagant behaviour to anyone who would listen.
"The resolution of the bitterly fought case with Bier receiving nothing for his spurious claims is a complete vindication of Manson."
The case still hangs on bosses at law firm Grodsky & Olecki, who have filed a lien for unpaid attorney fees from 2007 when the company successfully persuaded a judge to drop all of Bier's allegations against them. Bosses at the firm are demanding payment from the settlement money.
