Marie Osmond was determined to return to the stage a day after her tragic son's funeral because she didn't want to let down the crew working on her Las Vegas show.
Osmond was back in the spotlight on Tuesday (09Mar10) to sing alongside her brother Donny in their Sin City variety act The Donny & Marie show at the Flamingo Hotel.
The performance came just one day after she laid her 18-year-old adopted son Michael Blosil to rest in an emotional ceremony in Utah.
She paid tribute to Blosil during the show, telling the crowd, "The way Osmonds survive is we keep singing. That's what we want to do tonight. I know my son would want that and this show is for him."
The grieving mum decided to make a quick return after considering the employees working on the show.
Producer Chip Lightman tells E! News, "She's having a rough time, but she's staying strong. She has seven other children that depend on her, and she's being strong for the kids.
"She's going back to work because it affects a lot of people when she doesn't work. There's over 100 people who work on the show, and Marie never wants to let people down so she's going back to work tonight."
Michael, Marie's son with ex-husband Brian Blosil, was found dead outside his Los Angeles apartment building last month (Feb10).
Police believe the depressed teen jumped off a roof or balcony of the building and are treating his death as suicide.
